Well I'm proud to introduce my newest feature, EdgarFeed.com. I've decided to create a separate domain for this little project as think it deserves its own space.
Try it out here:
http://edgarfeed.com/
The idea is basically quite simple, the tool allows you to create your own customized Edgar feed. Edgar is the SEC's database for regulatory filings. A lot of people track these filings to get all the latest info about the companies they track. The advantage with RSS is that it "pushes" the content to you so you don't have to visit a website all the time, but rather you will get notified through your own feed reader of the latest items.
There are currently alternatives to my tool but they are paid ones. I don't intend to ask a fee to use it, so I think there's a niche to fill.
Usage is quite simple, you fill in whatever filters you want to limit the filings to, exactly like you'd do on SEC's own website, and the tool will output a URL you can use to load the RSS feed into your favorite feed reader (or your own "My Yahoo!" or "Google" home page / reader).
I've rushed this out for now as I am eager to get some feedback, but I will be improving it on a regular basis in the next few days / weeks.
Enjoy!
